Harrow Spares

 

AXLE :
It is made of M. S. or any Grade or High tensile steel duly machined and is used to connect the Disc Blades to the main frame of the harrow.


SPOOL / SPACER :
These are fitted between the disc blades and help in maintaining equal distance between the disc blades. Heavy Spools are used in trailing type harrows for increasing the overall weight for better penetration. These are made of C. I. and duly machined on both the ends to match the curvature of the disc blades.

 

 

 



SPOOL BEARINGS :
These are mounted between alternate or third pairs of discs and provide the rotation system to the discs. These are made of C. I. and consists of an inner spool and two outer half races which are bolted together over the spool. Its unique triple line construction helps in holding the Oil / Grease between the outer races and the spool to provide lubrication.

FRONT AND REAR CAPS :
These are C. I. Components mounted at the end of the square axle for containing the disc between the axle.

 

 



BEARING AXLE :
It is used to connect the Harrow pipe to the main frame through the hub. It is a close - die forged component duly machined to the required bearing seat size and the material may be En - 42 or any other grade of high carbon steel.

HARROW DISC BLADE




 

HARROW DISC :
These are made of heat treated high carbon steel for higher wear resistance and are mounted on square solid shaft with Cast Iron Spacers. Normally disc blades have plain sharp edges but cutaway / serrated can also be provided if required.
